Seed Pack – Blue Lily

This pack contains 5 seeds of the elegant Agapanthus praecox bulb. It is commonly known as the Blue Lily. It is an evergreen species. The flowers form a dense cluster of blue, borne on a slender stem. They grow to a height of up to 1m, flowering from mid to late summer. They enjoy full sun or semi-shade (flower less frequently when in shade). The Xhosa women consider it to have medicinal properties relating to fertility & pregnancy. They fashion necklaces from the root to ensure healthy babies. Hikers often put the leaves in their boots or use them to wrap their feet in after a long walk to reduce inflammation and swelling. It is an elegant & useful addition to any garden.
